How it works

Most large companies have a structured innovation funnel with strictly determined decision moments. Ideas are evaluated and then passed through a highly structured new product development (NPD) process. Often general project managers are appointed to lead these projects and MBA skilled management determines the go/no-go. It is not very suprising that a lot of ideas never escape the mother organisation.

At TOP Food Lab, we believe in agile development and the power of highly professional and motivated teams that work together in small projects. We also believe in co-creation, and open innovation is a part of our own DNA. Our new product development process is split into two phases:

1. Concept development (includes scouting for ideas and Lab Jams)

2. NPD projects
