MEDICINAL PLANTS PROJECT ENCOURAGING GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES

This medicinal plants project have been developped in Sumapaz in Colombia. The Nazareth hospital created a garden that is part of a hospital, where patients are only treated with the plants of the region.
The Sumapaz agriculture fields represent more than 178,000 hectares are all treated by pesticides, Colombian people complain a lot about it. This garden is managed by farmers of the region and the patients, this project encourages good agricultural practices to prevent diseases. They also teach patients and doctors to use the correct 25 medicinal plants produced in the region.
