Three students from the RMIT University in Melbourne created an open source espresso machine. The machine can easily be opened and customized by the user, by removing the panels on the outside of the machine. Next to that, the machine comes with an app that saves personal presets on the pressure and temperature profiles and doubles as an espresso community. At this platform, users can share their presets and discuss the modifications they’ve made to the machine.
